2009 Yamaha Raptor Model – 700
There are two things you will instantly note about the Yamaha Raptor Model – 700 and 350- the sporty looks and the durability. There are different specifications to each model, so let’s take a more detailed view of these two monsters:The Raptor 700 is a performance inspired ATV featuring a 686cc engine including aluminum cylinder body with a composite coating and a 9000 RPM limit. Forged lightweight pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft allow for reduced weight and added strength. Yamaha Fuel Injection (YFI) in conjunction with dual counter-balancers yields excellent performance in a range of elevations and temperatures.

The 2009 Yamaha Raptor 700 sports a hybrid steel and aluminum frame. The aluminum subframe and cast swingarm pivot combine to produce a super-strong core and one of the lightest ATVs within the class. The Raptor 700 features piggyback shocks with adjustable high and low-speed compression, rebound and preload adjustability. The 9.1-inch travel coupled with rear shock yields10.1 inch is of wheel travel. The rear suspension also has adjustable high and low speed compression, along with preload and rebound adjustment.
Off-road 21x7-10 front and 20x10-9 rear radials handle mud, sand and water with ease; equipped as standard on the Yamaha Raptor 700. Aluminum piston front and rear cross drilled disc brakes provide substantial stopping power. Aluminum wheels are standard on the Raptor 700 in an effort to reduce weight. Additionally, the Raptor 700 comes with super bright multireflector 30-watt Krypton headlights and an LED taillight. The Raptor 700 is equipped with a digital meter. That makes it the first ATV that sports this meter. Included functionality of the digital meter features: a speedometer, dual trip meters and temperature and FI warnings. The 2009 model also has a new thumb throttle shape that makes it that much more convenient for long rides.
